Even with the limited resources, Bihar is currently at number three position in the country, in terms of quickest developing states.
Generally on a larger picture, people often misinterpret Bihar to be a backward and non-developing state, which is just a stereotype developed in their minds since old times. If you take a closer and wider look of the state, it is a lot more than what it is perceived to be.
ABOUT THE MISSION
Talking about the various developments, we can’t skip on the extraordinary BSDM ( Bihar Skill Development Mission ) constituted by the government of Bihar. It has been launched as a unique skill training programme by the name of “ KUSHAL YUVA PROGRAM” which enhances the soft skills of all the aspirants between the age group of 15-25 years.
It is a great platform for the youth of Bihar to encourage their hidden talents and use their abilities through these various programmes, in order to reach their desired goals.
PERSPECTIVE OF THE MISSION
· To establish a wide knowledgeable network of training centres for the youth · Providing employment opportunities to the youth
KUSHAL YUVA PROGRAM
The curriculum for KYP include three components :
- Life skills
- Communication skills
- Basic computer liter
The course duration covering the three components will be of 240 hours ( 40, 80 and 120 respectively)
- E-Learning mode will be used for delivering training
- Assessment of trainers followed by certification will be carried out to get quality trainers and maintain uniformity of the trainers
- Sequential mode of learning will prohibit skipping of sessions
- Central monitoring on regular basis of each candidate through web portal
- Integrated online assessment and dignified certification process
- Formulation of areas and trade specific strategies for maximising employment opportunities
- Facilitation of coordinated approach in achieving various objectives for covering maximum benefits over time and space by reaching out to the most needy sections of population
TALKING ABOUT ITS DOMAIN SKILLS
Skill development initiative is the paramount when it comes to the development of Bihar. There is an actual and very immediate need for adopting a transformational paradigm that goes beyond the confines of all the traditional approaches that match the skill building services. The need of the hour today is to create a holistic ecosystem for skill development which will be facilitated by an integrated effort from the stakeholders in order to effectively create an impact on the existing economy and also on the society at large in Bihar.
